ADF (Alcohol and Drug Foundation) revealed that 89% of the 325 million worldwide population living with hepatitis B or C are initially unaware of getting infected, with the death figures over 1.5 million people each year (higher than HIV/AIDs or malaria). Sadly, these death actually can be avoided as a vaccine for hepatitis B and a treatment for hepatitis C had been found to be safe on use.
Due to lack of public knowledge on Hepatitis and to celebrate World Hepatitis Day on 28 July, this event will be significant important to combat the stigma, informing the importance of liver health checks related with the risk, hepatitis transmission, how to take enough precautions and how to access for hepatitis test. There will be 8 Human Living Library (Human books) that readers can borrow for interaction and to share their bitter-sweet experiences stories first hand on a one on one basis for 30 minutes each. Come and join Us !!!!!
